Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our client's team in Port Elizabeth.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about quality assurance and looking to contribute to a dynamic environment within the manufacturing sector.
The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections on products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
You will work closely with production and engineering teams to identify quality issues and facilitate improvements.
Responsibilities Prepare weld samples by cutting and polishing them for inspection.
Document and maintain records of welding inspection results and prepare the corresponding reports.
Ensure timely completion of all required inspections, including first-off, roving, and last-off checks.
Update all inspection results in the relevant databases and provide part status updates to First-off Trays and Machines.
Escalate any non-conforming parts through the deviation process.
Calibrate and verify gauges as per documented requirements.
Maintain and update the gauge calibration database, ensuring damaged or unreadable gauges are removed and replaced.
Develop and issue instructions for rework procedures.
Facilitate meetings and implement action plans to minimize or eliminate rework.
Review and document suspect parts according to internal and customer-specific requirements, following applicable SOPs.
Promote quality awareness by addressing scrap concerns through Quality Alerts and Visual Aids.
Requirements Certification in Weld Inspection.
Certification in Core Tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive industry.
More than 2 years of experience in weld inspection and evaluation in an automotive setting.
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, with a focus on the automotive industry.
Strong assertiveness.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective time management.
Strong communication abilities.
