Quality Technician

RPO's client is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in the Eastern Cape.
The company specializes in manufacturing automotive components, delivering high-quality products for the automotive industry.
The ideal candidate will ensure product and process quality standards are maintained and adhered to, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
Responsibilities: Conduct quality inspections of products and processes in line with established standards.
Analyze and resolve quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain and update quality documentation and records, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
Support the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and ensure alignment with ISO standards.
Collaborate with production teams to monitor and improve product quality.
Perform internal audits and assist in external audits as required.
Report quality concerns and work closely with engineering and production departments to address and resolve them.
Assist in the development and training of team members on quality standards and practices.
Requirements National Diploma in Quality or Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality technician role within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and relevant standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, SPC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
