Quality ManagerReference: JHB000941-VM-1Well known private hospital group requires a Quality Manager. This position is based in Johannesburg South.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Hospital Manager, and as a member of the hospital management committee (Manco), the Quality Manager will assume responsibility for ensuring effective implementation, management and sustainability of the clinical governance framework, its pillars and related clinical governance standards, policies, processes, systems, guidelines & training. In addition, the incumbent will drive compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), to company and industry requirements and other applicable legislation, within the Hospital, through Manco members, HOD's and other relevant hospital stakeholders.Responsibilities include:Coordinating quality improvement initiatives, clinical/accreditation programs, and clinical quality reporting together with relevant hospital stakeholders.Driving improved patient experience through relevant hospital line managers.Overseeing Health & Safety Framework including appointment of Health & Safety Representatives.Supporting the Hospital Manager towards a functional Health & Safety Committee structure.Driving Function/Dept risk assessment and the of risk registers and mitigating actions.Overseeing the HCRW management process together with the IPC and service provider.Driving emergency preparedness and disaster management readiness.Ensuring yearly compliance audits are completed and findings are closed out.Ensuring month end data is captured, and hospital scorecards are extracted, reviewed and analyzed monthly to identify deviations/trends and implement corrective action.Identifying and supporting line managers with QIP's related to improved patient experience, safety and outcomes.Overseeing the Accreditation Coordinator in achieving required outcomes.Conducting all relevant training according to the OHS Act requirements.Minimum RequirementsDegree/Diploma in Nursing OR Degree/Diploma in Safety/Quality Management.Previous management experience essential.Current registration with SANC, if applicable.Knowledge of health and safety.SAP Experience preferably.Knowledge of relevant legislation (specifically OHS Act).Understanding of the private health industry, its challenges and the key role players.Computer literacy is essential (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Drivers' license and own transport.Package & RemunerationMonthly plus Basic salary, medical aid, provident fund, bonus.
