Quality Controller – Mechanical

The ideal candidate will be required to fulfill the following responsibilities: Inspection of pressurised equipment Progress of equipment Vendor document approvals Troubleshooting on-site Design of special documents Small project supervision Vendor appraisals Progress of project documentation (internal and external) Conversant with the South African Labour Law & OSHA Have a workable knowledge of the PER (Pressurised Equipment Regulation as defined in SABS 347) Be able to review local and international welding procedures & qualification records Management of vendors The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: A Technical Diploma as well as a SAIW (Level 2) qualification and be I.P.E registered More than 5 years' experience in the quality control of pressure vessels and heat exchangers Knowledge of ASME codes and API Knowledge of Sasol SP Specifications will be an advantage Knowledge of the P.E.R & SANS 347 is also essential
