Deltamune invites all suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following vacancy.Position PurposeThe Quality Control Technologist independently executes quality control checks to ensure compliance of products.Key Accountabilities:Perform QC testing on viral and bacterial antigen, which includes sterility, purity, viability, inactivation.Perform production seed QC, which includes sterility, purity, viability.Maintenance and propagation of cell lines used for cell culture QC tests.Titre determination of cell culture antigen and vaccines.Final product QC testing: sterility, viscosity, residual formaldehyde, thermal and accelerated stability, shelf-life and moisture determination.Raw material QC testing.Immunofluorescent staining and result analysis.ELISA testing and result interpretation.Schedule sampling of packaging material in conjunction with the QC Officer.Ensure daily monitoring of equipment and logbook completion.Ensure QC tests and documents are completed, and results uploaded on the ERP system within the required lead times.Maintain required stock levels of media and consumables.Completion of actions on EQMS.Assist in writing, reviewing and updating of documents.Assist in investigations where required.Assist on compilation and submission of ethical applications.Ensure compliance with the requirements of Deltamune's Quality System.Position: QC TechnologistDepartment: QCReports to: Quality CoordinatorClassification: PermanentEmployment Equity: Preference will be given to candidates who meet our EE objectives.—————All suitably qualified and experienced applicants are requested to apply online by no later than 13 August 2024.—————Please take note:Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Company may expire jobs at their own discretion.SpecificationsQualifications:National Diploma / Degree in Veterinary Technology / Biotechnology / Food Safety / Analytical Chemistry.Skills:Result orientatedCritical thinking and Problem solvingSound judgementAn ability to work well as part of a team or solusGood time managementAbility to plan, prioritise and organise efficientlyExperience:1 to 2 years relevant laboratory experience.Experience in ISO 9001-2015 and in GMP would be beneficial.Additional requirements:Physical endurance and the ability to stand for long periods of time.Candidate must be willing to work flexible and long hours on short notice when required.
