Quality Control Assistant

Experience: At least six (6) months as a Quality Control Assistant within the Food manufacturing industry. Formal qualifications Matric or equivalent NQF level Own transport BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology Responsibilities Ensure smooth, concise and effective manufacturing at all times through effective communication with production Liaise with all production Ensure quality standards are maintained if any issues to report to the Manager Ensure that all relevant product identification and documentation for internal rejections is managed immediately Liaise with sales and dispatch departments when products are to be dispatched Check expiry dates, item codes, name of product and weights correspond with sales orders To comply with the applicable compliance guidelines And any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the business as the employer may from time to time direct Commit to act according to the key management principles and the safety-first culture as defined in the safety-first policy Inherent requirements for the position Excellent communication skills Computer skills Attention to detail Work well under pressure Effective problem-solving skills Awareness of safety regulations and practices Communication Skill Leadership and teamwork Compliance awareness Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo psychometric testing and background screening.
