Main Purpose/Objectives of the Job:Custodian of QMFS system (Devland and Alrode)Evidence of continual improvement of the existing quality and food management systemDrive quality complaint response process (Ethos toward quality)QA Systems fully embedded and at the correct standardMeet budget & cost savings where possible (including COS)Assist other 2 sites on QFMS if requiredDrive implementation of PRP processes and ensure continuous improvementEvidence of continual improvement of the HACCP system and verification thereofManage supplier quality assuranceDrive the Quality and Food Safety processManage the external audit process and achieve >92% FSA audit scoreNo automatic failures and a continual reduction in major findingsAudit process to be an accepted implemented monthly practice with very little need of pre-audit rushDrive the non-conformance close out processDrive cold chain complianceDrive housekeeping and hygiene principlesManage training of staff on Quality and food safety management processesProduct improvementConsistently monitor and improve product and package qualityDrive compliance to recipes and product qualityEnforce regular shelf life tests before launching a new productCreate product and raw material specs timeouslyDrive compliance of the Kosher and Halaal certificationManagement:Manage Quality teamManage performance of each team member and have weekly 1:1Manage their leave and overtimeCoordinate duties and responsibilities for the teamManage and lead daily meetingsSchedule and lead problem solving initiatives and projectsEducation and Experience:Food Related Qualification - FMCG Minimum Diploma: Food TechnologyAdvanced HACCP certificateInternal auditing certificateFood Fraud & Defense certificateFSSC 22000 training5+ Years experience and minimum of 2 years as Quality ManagerMicrosoft - Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPointCompetencies required:Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Production Processes and ProceduresStrong Administration skillsStrong Leadership skillsTime management skillsDecision making skillsContinuous improvement and analytical skillsPersonal Characteristics:Strong admin temperament (initiative-taker, go getter attitude, analytical person, self-reliant, goal orientated, work across barriers)Initiative and taking ownership (Take on responsibility and accountability for tasks and actions)Innovation (The ability to see and create new ways of doing things and finding creative solutions to problems)Collaborative team working (The willingness to act as part of a small team yet, high performing team and work jointly towards achieving team goals and outcomes)
