About the roleReckitt is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager (Deputy Responsible Pharmacist) to champion our SA Quality Assurance team. With this pivotal role based in Gauteng, you'll be essential in certifying and overseeing the supply of pharmaceutical products around South Africa. Your responsibilitiesLead all Quality activities at the Reckitt SA site, managing the QMS and ensuring batches are certified for release within agreed timeframes.Provide leadership and coaching to a committed Quality Assurance team.Act as a backup for release activities.Maintain full compliance of the site activities with regulatory and Reckitt standards to protect our consumers and the brand.Manage and innovate our importation, testing, and certification processes for SA markets with a focus on continuous improvement.Handle external regulatory and customer audits, maintaining robust Quality practices.Strategically develop the batch release site to align with business needs and regulatory requirements.The experience we're looking forSolid understanding of manufacturing operations and Quality Management Systems, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector.Extensive knowledge of South African legal requirements surrounding pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply.Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop a team.Strategic thought process with the skill to execute plans effectively under pressure.Excellent communication, capable of building successful partnerships and managing relationships.Drive for continuous improvement through innovative strategies and digital transformation initiatives in Quality and Manufacturing.The skills for successBusiness Strategy, Task Execution Under Pressure, Makes strategic Business Decisions, Business Acumen, Commercial Awareness, Objective Setting, Accountability, Consumer Insight, Creative Direction, R&D, Change Leadership, Product Lifecycle Management, Business Partnership, Collaboration and partnership building, Relationship Management, Adapt to changes in technological development plans, Ability to challenge the status quo and propose improvement, Innovation Processes, Digital transformation for R&D, Quality and Manufacturing.
