Mechanic (Qualified) Semi SkilledLocation: Philippi branchReports: Fleet Manager DescriptionThe purpose of the position is to repair the company vehicles when needed. Possible candidates should reside within the area or in close proximity to our Philippi branch.Requirements3 – 5 years Mechanical experience in both petrol and diesel vehiclesA good understanding of Workshop consumables and vehicle partsA thorough understanding of workshop environmentDriver's license and own transport essentialOwn tools is essentialHave Auto Electrical experienceKey ResponsibilitiesServices and repairs on all company VehiclesStandby duties/ after hours with the odd occasional. To do services on all Company Vehicles out of guaranteeTop do all repairs/maintenance on Company Vehicles efficiently and promptly in conjunction with Fleet ManagerTo advise the Fleet Manager / Technical Advisor (ordering Clerk) on all difficulties/ problems if repairs / maintenance cannot be doneReport all major repairs required to the Fleet Manager for approvalTo take all Vehicles for a "test drive" after repairs / maintenance have been doneTo do standby repairs / maintenance after hours and over weekends (designated mechanics only)To ensure that a list of spares and brake pads / linings used on breakdowns handed to the Transport Admin Assistant WEEKLY (standby Mechanics)Please send CV to: ****** reserve the right not to make an appointment to any advertised position.
