Perform precision mechanical inspection and documentation verification of complex machined parts in pump manufacturing Machine shop and Assembly work shop. You will be expected to interpret customer drawings, must have good understanding of shop math, Drawings, Excel, SAP, MS Word and machining knowledge Determining the causes of product defects and reworks Collecting and compiling statistical quality data Knowledge of quality control systems and procedures Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving machining, assembly and any Quality issues Report safety concerns to Inspection team or quality Manager In process inspect First Off from machines In- process inspection on the standard assembly line, filling out QC Check sheets during assembly on the production line Inspect Incoming and Outgoing materials for compliance, specifications, and conformance requirements. Review routings to ensure that upstream operations have been completed and signed off. Individual must be willing to work Over time (including Weekends) and Shift work Must be able to work with complexed and different types of measuring equipment commonly found in manufacturing workshops. Individual must be willing to assist and carry out any other tasks and section given by his/her supervisor thats falls within the individuals capability. Must be able to lift up to 30kg`s, must be able to identify different colors to identity finishing defects. Meets attendance and punctuality guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area Education Matric Qualified Machinist / Fitter L2- Certificate in quality control for manufacturing will be an advantage L3 Certificate in quality assurance will be an advantage Non-Destructive Testing level 1 or 2 would be an advantage Experince: 5 Years in fitting and machining / 3 years in Quality Control Any additional skill regarding pump manufacturing or Quality Control and 3D Measuring skills will be an advantage Sound knowledge of pumps assembly / knowledge of materials and casting Knowledge of casting defects/ NDE testing and reporting Must be in a current machine shop & assembly shop QC Inspector or fitter Machinist Requirements: Must be willing to work overtime Must be able to work unsupervised and under pressure Must be able to utilize different types of measuring equipment that is used in machine shop
