NEW EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLETitle : QA / QC Inspector (Electrical)Area : NewcastleIndustry : Mechanical & Electrical Workshop ManufacturingRef No. : TRG 2199Salary : Market related TCTC avail / negStart Date : As soon as possibleAn opportunity for an experienced QA / QC INSPECTOR (ELECTRICAL) is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :Inspect incoming parts and repaired / reworked components according to the order requirementsInspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity confirm to the order with regard to material specificationsAssist fitters and personnel with component measurements during assembly when requiredFollow all intervention points as marked up on motor assembly QCPs routings with regards to hold, verification, witness and review pointsVisual inspection of complete AC / DC motors and signing off final release / final quality control checklistMarking of order number and material on components where required, also ensure trackability on any material movement within or out of the companyFiling of all drawings, material certificates etc on the systemReport problems or concerns to responsible Supervisor / Manager immediatelyCarry out NCR on items or issues timeously and process timeouslyCarry out accurate quality control reporting on motors / items when requiredMaintain measuring equipment and ensure items are calibrated at all times and report any issuesCarry out NDT testing and required reporting under his / her skill levels of NDT testingMaintain high level of quality and standards at all timesComply with and enforce all Policies and ProceduresCarry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to timeAssist fellow employees with daily functions as and when requiredWrite / contribute to Audits, investigation reports, fill out quality documentationComplete reporting requirements accordinglyReview and sign off quality packs and documentationEDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :Grade 12 (Matric)Qualified / Trade Tested, Mechanical / Electrical Fitter / Fitter & Turner5 Years experience in QA / QCSupervisory experience (advantage)Engineering / Workshop background requiredCertification in quality control is preferred.Some exposure with mechanical systems, such as AC / DC motors, will be beneficial.Computer LiteracyKnowledge of Quality Control standards and testing / inspection methodologiesNon-destructive testing experience is advantageousAble to read and interpret technical literature and drawingsAttention to detailWilling attitude to learn and take adviceAssembly of electrical motors and knowledge would be an advantageNewcastle residency requiredAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSWe will ONLY consider applications from suitably experienced candidates that meet the requirements of this vacancy.
