Our Client is looking for a QA Manager to join their team.Area: Menlyn Maine, PretoriaRole OverviewThe QA Manager is a leadership role responsible for the successful implementation of QA methodologies, processes, and automation technologies within DevOps and Agile principles. Managing a team of 10–15 QA professionals, you will work closely with the COO, CTO, and other executives to deliver high-quality software that meets product design and quality requirements. The role includes ensuring software delivery is secure, maintainable, and aligned with defined architecture and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a QA team to implement and adopt test automation within the organization's DevOps transformation.Collaborate with the COO, CTO, and other executives to define and codify software quality standards, particularly focusing on banking-grade security and maintainability.Drive the QA strategy, ensuring its effective implementation and alignment with the company's overall goals.Work closely with various teams, including Project Office, Development, and Infrastructure, to ensure timely delivery of quality software.Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage, and report on QA activities, ensuring continuous improvement.Ensure all product features and enhancements meet the required specifications and quality standards.Research and recommend external partners and technologies to enhance QA processes and outcomes.Establish consistent QA standards and processes aligned with best practices for delivering scalable, robust, and high-quality software.Manage resource allocation and availability, ensuring productive use of resources to meet customer demand.Foster effective internal communication within the QA team and across the organization.Team Management ResponsibilitiesCreate an environment of psychological safety where team members can thrive.Ensure the skills and experience of the QA team align with the engineering, technological, and business needs for current and future services.Establish clear organizational structures and succession plans that align with growth expectations and team member development.Provide support to team members, adhering to company values, policies, and procedures.Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, completing required documentation.Experience And SkillsDeep and practical understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies, processes, and principles.Experience with Microsoft DevOps tools and software.Proven leadership skills, particularly in managing teams through transformation and change management processes.Experience in implementing and adopting test automation within an organization.Ability to drive and report on strategic QA initiatives.QualificationsTraining or certification in DevOps and/or Agile methodologies.Special RequirementsWillingness to work overtime (as an exception when required).Willingness to perform standby duties (as an exception when required).Must have reliable transport.Reliable and secure home internet connection.Personal AttributesSelf-motivated and able to work independently.Strong team player.Accountable and responsible.Collaborative and supportive.Passionate about quality assurance and software development.Desired SkillsQA ManagerQuality Assurance DirectorQuality Control Manager
