SUMMARY
Established in 2010, The Centre of Psychotherapy Excellence (COPE) is a multi-disciplinary treatment programme specializing in mental health care services. The permanent Psychologist position requires the incumbent to work on a part-time basis at the Akeso Nelspruit Clinic, contributing to and coordinating all mental health-related activities to ensure quality care and support to patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide high quality therapeutic programs and interventions to both in-patients and out-patients with measurable outcomes.
Conduct daily group therapy sessions.
Fulfill administration duties as required by the group practice and HPCSA.
Work as a fully integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Attend weekly ward rounds and provide feedback to the team regarding patients' progress and treatment.
Actively support and engage in Clinical Quality Projects activities and initiatives.
Take supervision and engage in regular training to ensure best practice.
Ensure CPD requirements are met.
Carry out administrative duties for COPE as required to ensure smooth running of the therapeutic program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Professional Registration with HPCSA as a Psychologist.
Registered with BHF.
Knowledge and experience with DBT would be advantageous.
