Purpose of the role: The Proposal & Business Development Specialist will coordinate a bid team or deal team to prepare, manage and co-author bids, proposals and pitch decks for clients and funders.Responsible for managing opportunities from initial identification of client requirements through to securing or renewing the contract.The Proposal & Business Development Specialist coordinates from pre-bidding stage, ensuring that all resources are aligned to client requirements, and managing the development of proposals, presentations, ensuring continuous improvement of sales processes. Responsibilities: Contribute to the development of proposals and presentations, both in terms of content and driving the process.Identify potential sales opportunities and briefing the deal or bid management teams.Coordinate and review the commercial aspects of potential opportunities, ensuring all products/ services or solutions are included in the final pricing to the client.Manage office-based and virtual bid/deal teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project management / delivery resources.Conduct research and contribute to the solution development for sales opportunities.Research, source and liaise with different investors and donors.Coordinate inputs and craft persuasive and detailed proposals.Develop and/or customise graphics to enhance presentations and proposals, including the application of brand or strategically directed graphics.Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository for templates, graphics, proposals and presentations to streamline organisational efficiencies.Perform risk assessments and addressing concerns of clients and company staff.Manage end-to-end deal and bid processes and ensure deadlines are met.Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.Keep track of all costs and manage budgets by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.Conduct team briefings once deals have been secured. Requirements: Bachelors degree in a related field.Minimum of 5 years experience in a same role role.Proven experience in delivering winning proposals/bids for large-scale projects.Excellent skills, talent and workforce industry knowledge and awareness of industry trends and changes.Knowledge and experience in Skills Levy, Compliance Skills Funding, and Skills Development Tax Rebates regulations.Sound commercial understanding and risk management experience.Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills with advance MS Word and MS PowerPoint capability.
