We are seeking a detail-orientated and experienced Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties will include, but are not limited to: Maintain accurate financial records for all properties within the group and respective portfolios. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, tenant accounts, and general ledger accounts. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property operations. Monitor and report on property performance, including variance analysis. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and standards. Coordinate with property managers and other departments to gather necessary financial information. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role. Proficiency in MRI / MDA accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong technical- and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. Professional. Reliable. Own transportation. Proficient in English.
