Our client in the Environmental Industry requires the services of a Projects & Contracts Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute projects.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey performance areas:Lead and manage landscaping environmental projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.Develop project plans, Gantt schedules, and budgets, allocating resources and identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.Understand cost control, budget and allowable, and exercise control from project commencement to completion.Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements, maintaining documentation and records as necessary.Implement best practices and quality assurance procedures to optimize project efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement, providing leadership and support to site managers.Coordinate field operations, including site assessments, data collection, and monitoring activities, in compliance with construction regulations and industry standards.Oversee subcontractors and vendors, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular project meetings and communications to provide updates, address issues, make corrections, and facilitate decision-making processes.Track project progress and performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.Desired Experience & QualificationThe successful candidate must have:Matric with a degree in Horticulture Sciences.At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in landscape project & contracts management.Background and experience in irrigation design and construction is essential; qualified under LIA or SABI would be advantageous.Proven experience working on large-scale and fast-paced projects.Working knowledge of CAD and GIS would be advantageous.Ability to work with multi-disciplined professional teams and specialists.Comprehensive knowledge of projects & contracts management, sub-contractor management, OHSE, cost control, and quote formulation, with a focus on landscape and built environments.Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans and Gantt schedules, and lead multi-disciplined teams to achieve project goals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, senior management, and team members.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Proficiency in Microsoft software and tools, such as Microsoft Planner, Excel, and Word.Willingness to travel to project sites and field locations as needed.A valid driver's license.Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.If you do send an email to the recruiter directly: please state the position you are applying for.Package & RemunerationTo be discussed during the interview stage.
