You are responsible for developing a procedure for creating and implementing the Bill of Materials (BOM) with input from the General Manager and the Design Team. You are responsible for constructing a comprehensive project plan and assigning duties to the Buyers, Assemblers and Dispatch Officer.Developing and Leading the TeamThe project planner will oversee a team to meet client and branch expectations.You are responsible for bringing together and managing the team to create a well-oiled project machine. Setting up the team for success requires you to provide guidelines, mentoring, or training when needed.Establish Deadlines and Monitor the Progress of the Project (s)The Planner's duties include a significant amount of planning and execution.You must constantly scrutinize how the project is moving forward. Manage everything from developing an accurate timeline of project completion to ensuring activities get completed within the assignment's parameters. You must foresee delays and inform the branches of all delays.Identify and Resolve Issues that AriseEvery project has problems that need to be resolved. It is in the project planner's best interest to foresee any potential problems before they arise as you are Head of Department (HOD) and that management will turn to you when something goes wrong. You must have the ability to adapt and solve problems for maintaining project control.Performance Evaluation -The Project Planner is in charge of assessing the efficacy and efficiency of a project (s) once it is completed. With efficient data collection throughout the process, you can pinpoint flaws and make plans on how to address similar problems in the future.
