SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the management and optimum utilization of resources for all projects to successfully meet the requirements set for the projects. The Project Manager / Engineer will be responsible / accountable for a project or projects. He will be the main contact point for the client and HO regarding the project. He needs to be aware of all decisions taken / implemented that will impact the project deliverables such as budget, production, quality schedule, etc. The focus areas are: Contractual, Commercial, Engineering, Financial and Administrative.REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:Minimum Education:National Diploma /B.Tech / B.Sc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) and/or Construction / Project ManagementAdditional Qualifications:Registered as Professional Engineer Technician with ECSARegistered as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) at SACPCMPPMI Registration preferableCompetency in NEC / FIDIC / JBCC contractsMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE10 years' experience in the construction, engineering, and consulting industry relevant to electrical infrastructure sector. The 5 years can be combined between the three disciplines listed above with two years in a management position.REQUIREMENTSProject Management: Accountable for ensuring projects are successfully completed within the envisaged constraints, including time, budget, resource targets and set out quality standards.Responsible for project delivery from inception through to contract close.Conducts regular reviews to ensure compliance with the design, status, budget, quality of work and schedule of contract progress.Provides technical guidance to subordinates on all projects.Accountable for all engineering and logistic and commissioning activities on projects.Conducts regular inspections on plant and equipment, including log sheet inspections to ensure compliance with required statutory regulations.Responsible for communicating, delegating, implementation and successful execution of meeting resolutions.Management of all projects in accordance with set standards and uniformity.Ensure that all Commercial / Contractual / Financial / Administrative and Engineering duties required on a project is adhered to as per the client's contract / requirements.Project Planning: Defines the scope of the project in collaboration with project/contract managers.Responsible for planning of projects.Risk management and calculation-minimising of potential risks aggressors.Contract resource (all aspects) management and site capacity planning.Anticipates and addresses emerging issues that may impact contract milestones.Ensures that all sub-contractors and sub-contracting work being performed are following the contract specifications.
