We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the temporary Project Industrial Engineer position within the Industrialisation Department. The position will report to the Project Industrial Manager and is based in Dunnottar, Nigel (Gauteng Province).
Job Purpose Provide service to the Industrial team, pilot projects on process and manufacturing, industrialisation of changes and fitment validation, taking into account the industrial policy, existing standards and constraints of the project.
Key Responsibilities Support the Manufacturing team to meet EHS, QCD requirement (process validation, CI). Coordinate engineering activities with the Engineering department. Ensure smooth deployment of Change request on the production line. Ensure that all changes follow the CCB process. Investigate quality concerns and eliminate reworks on the production line. Bill of Material Management (EBOM/MBOM/PBOM). Drive industrialisation activities using IMFU (Industrial Maturity follow-up). Ensure the industrial document, manufacturing equipment and tooling readiness. Monitor ERP master data including routing and method times. Management of configuration material. Management of CCB follow-up file. Participate in CCB (Change and Configuration Board) to validate engineering changes and define date or rank of application. Manage the retrofit activities after engineering changes: industrialisation and manufacturing. Minimum Requirements B-tech/Degree or ND Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering. Minimum 1-3 years' experience or Rail experience. Special Requirements Structured and organised with a hands-on approach. English basics in reading/writing. Good communication skills: verbal and written English. Computer Literate - MS Office packages. Attention to detail and strong mechanical technical understanding. Closing Date: 27 August 2024
