Minimum Requirements for this role: BEng or BSc in Mechanical, or MechatronicsProject Management Diploma would be advantageousAt least 4 years of Project Management experienceCompetency in 3D CAD design (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks)An ability to communicate at all levelsFamiliarity with ISO procedures (ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000)An ability to negotiate effectivelyA strong ability to think logically and rationallyHighly computer literate, especially with Excel skillsAssertive and forthrightEnthusiastic, positive, and self-energizedA strong financial and commercial aptitudeExcellent problem-solving skillsAn ability to work effectively in a teamGreat attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects at a timeAdditional Information: The suitable candidate will manage the project from start to end and is not required to be hands-on in the execution.The role involves working on various projects such as plant layout, solar, generators, machines, and silos.Working hours from Monday to Thursday (07:30-16:30) and Friday (07:30-14:30).Travel will be required between 2 plants in Johannesburg.Experience in the plastic industry is preferred, but strong project management experience is essential.Responsibilities: Overseeing installations of new machines and technologyOverseeing assigned Engineering and technical projectsEnsuring customer satisfaction with respect to all Engineering projectsOverseeing machine and automation design projectsDeveloping and implementing project schedules and forecastsCoordinating and checking engineering deliverablesMonthly reporting on project status and change ordersPlanning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projectsAssisting in the preparation of engineering project and machine acquisition proposalsAssisting in the coordination of pricing, estimating, and scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specificationsAssisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs for projectsImplementing successful engineering and automation projectsCommunicating extensively with assigned project clients, external customers, and suppliers, both overseas and localTaking responsibility for commissioning and running new machineryInvolved in new product development and prototypingSalary will depend on experience, with benefits.
