Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssess feasibility and track all project opportunities, critically analysing their potential to meet strategic needs; Analyse bid documentation, interpret requirements and create specifications to ensure compliant bids whilst minimising organizational risk and maximising bid competitiveness.Manage multiple complex, multi-disciplinary tenders from receipt to submission, organising and leading diverse teams and workstreams towards well-coordinated and compliant bid submissions; Supervise and coordinate all deliverables required for submissions, ensuring integration amongst the various workstreams required.Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to produce bid deliverables effectively; Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the bid lifecycle.Stay up to date with market movements related to energy, storage, and grid interconnection tender opportunities to enable the organisation to be well placed strategically; Compilation of detailed bid budgets, reporting, and expense tracking.Management of file storage repositories for all internal and external stakeholders related to bid submissions; Standardisation and improvement of bid tasks and processes where required; Support Business Development and networking.Manage complex, multi-disciplinary energy projects from inception to completion, leading diverse teams and ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards; Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to execute project deliverables effectively.Execute cross-border projects & manage cross-border teams where required; Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle; Budgetary and financial responsibility for projects; Project resource management, including management of project resources over multiple locations; Client relationship management during project execution.Requirements: Qualification and SkillProven experience in REIPPP bid coordination and submission, and private off take project development at utility scale;Understanding of the African market;At least 5 years' experience in large scale project development and management;Engineering degree or equivalent relevant fields;Brilliant communication, verbal and written is required;Proven ability to speak and write fluently in English;Motivated, driven and ability to self-manage;Strong administrative skills;Proven ability to work within a small project development team;Proven ability to solve problems creatively;Proven experience of successfully managing multiple projects within budget and on schedule.Regulatory FrameworkKnowledge of the Renewable Energy Development Regulatory Framework in South Africa.Desirable AttributesAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;Willingness to travel to relevant project sites in Africa and industry events internationally;Prior experience in the oil and gas sector, LPG and LNG, upstream, midstream or downstream;In addition to the duties mentioned above, the job holder is required to perform administrative duties related to a standard project management role;An energetic and enthusiastic team-player who is prepared to work across business units in the company;Results orientated and target driven;Attention to detail crucial.Skillset RequiredRisk Assessment, Results Orientated, Networking, Ability To Work Under Pressure, Relationship Management, Attention To Detail, Administrative Skill, Competitiveness, Business Development, Documentation, Project Management.
