Responsibilities:Program coordination, delivery, and logistics management:Operationalize scientific events, which includes, but is not limited to seminar series, research days, or workshopsEnsure their smooth operation and that all logistics and event details are implemented as plannedCreate event posters, programs, and agendasEnsure that communications for event participants are clear and completeMaintain event files, including documentation and correspondenceIn consultation with the Manager, prepare, send, and log invitations to participants/invited speakersReceive and organize receipts for reimbursementsMonitor receipts and records for compliance with reimbursements and other guidelinesAs instructed by the Manager, prepare and distribute event promotional materialsIdentify pertinent information for clear, concise, accurate, and professional announcements/communicationOther duties as assigned by the ManagerInformation management and organization:Coordinate maintenance of CANSSI Ontario-managed websitesProduce, edit, update, and post online content in content management and other systemsCommunication with members and relationship management with stakeholders:Communicate clearly and professionally with all at CANSSI Ontario, including staff, directorate, partners, participants, and other stakeholdersAnswer questions in a useful, helpful, collegial, and professional mannerOther duties as assigned by the ManagerQualifications:Experience: Two to three years' relevant work experience preferredExperience in program/event planning and implementation preferredComputing Skills: Windows and Mac Operating Systems experience is preferredDemonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience using InDesign and/or working knowledge of PhotoshopExperience with Adobe Creative Suite products is preferredPremiere Pro would be an assetWillingness to learn other computer programs as neededOther: Superb oral and written communication skills, including distilling high-level scientific research into concise and engaging contentExperience in event planning an assetStrong personal accountability and ability to take initiativeProblem-solving abilityExcellent attention to detailAbility to work well under pressureEfficient time management skills, practices, and habitsAbility to multi-taskAbility to manage competing priorities flexibly and creativelyAbility to re-prioritize and re-calibrate timelines of work-in-progressFlexibility to move in and out of different tasks as requiredAbility to work independentlyAbility to take directionAbility to work under occasional pressure and to complete tasks on short and competing deadlinesTeam player with a disciplined, professional approachStart date: January 27, 2025
