CORE PURPOSE OF JOB The Main Purpose Of This Position Is To:
Participate in teaching, learning facilitation, supervision, research and engagement activities related to human-technology interaction and digital innovation.Provide strategic management and leadership in the Virtual Academy to ignite human-centred digital innovation initiatives and enhance staff and student competency to use digital technologies effectively and ethically.Facilitate transdisciplinary, institution-wide collaboration to achieve the goals and vision of the Virtual Academy.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Teaching and learning facilitation with students and adult learners, including staff.Promote and participate in scholarship, research and knowledge transfer, particularly related to the work and impact of the Virtual Academy.Engagement and service.Provide strategic leadership and management.CORE COMPETENCIES Possess expert knowledge of human-technology interaction and digital innovation and transformation in the higher education context.Advanced experience with relevant digital technologies and their application in a higher education context.Extensive experience in teaching and facilitating learning, and in developing formal and short learning programmes within the human-technology interaction and digital innovation domain.Contributions to the creation of knowledge, e.g., by extensive research and recent publications in books and in accredited national and international journals and conference proceedings.Experience in the successful supervision of Master's and promotion of Doctoral candidates.Strong people and collaborative project management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong strategic leadership and change management skills.Strong financial management and fund-raising skills.Requirements Doctorate Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., human-technology interaction, technology/computer science, technology-enhanced education or a related relevant field).3-7 years relevant working experience as an associate professor.Established academic track record comparable to that of a full or associate professor with diverse teaching, research, and engagement experience.Experience in initiating, leading, and researching complex digital innovation projects, preferably including some transdisciplinary projects, and engagement with industry/business partners.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Cover letter.Equity targeted groups to be specified on the advert.
