MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 8 years' experience in engineering and design of concrete and steel structures - heavy industry BEng / BSc Eng Degree or BTech / Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist at ECSA Solid knowledge and understanding of Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, Prokon and Revit Valid drivers licence Able to work under pressure Exposure to Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel Preferred/advantage EE would be an advantage Able to do Structural Analysis RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Defining and understanding specific project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals Functioning as part of a project team, liaising with other professional team members, other engineering disciplines, and contractors Coordination and management of the structural engineering design team Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality Prepare Contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4 Detailed structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and structural steel-type structures Review, update, and modification of drawings Technical support during construction Visual inspections and integrity assessments of existing civil and structural components of industrial plants Previous working experience in the engineering development, design, and construction of a range of projects in industrial plants (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mining, and Power Generation Plants) will be an advantage.
