Experience: At least two (2) years as a Production Team Leader within the Food manufacturing industry. Formal qualificationsMatric or equivalent NQF levelOwn transportComputer literacy (Microsoft Office)Fluent in EnglishResponsibilitiesLead and motivate the production operatorsEnsure safety of team during the course of operationEnsure that health and safety guidelines and policies are followedCarry out the production operators technical trainingEnsure that the production shift work effectively and assist eliminating losses and down timeMonitor the production planning and ensure the production team's targets are achievedMonitor production standards and quality control programme implementation and executionOversee productivity and execute the productivity improvement plansDaily and weekly reporting of production, machine hour, and man hour productivityLiaise among different departments, e.g.
receiving, dispatch and qualityWork with Managers to implement the company's policies and goalsDaily follow up on the consumption to ensure production orders are consumedReview operators' performanceIdentify production team training needsDeal with disciplinary actions when needed with the support of HR and Plant ManagerTo cover work duties of the packer and cooker, when necessaryTo comply with the applicable compliance guidelines & instructionsAnd any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the business as the employer may from time to time direct.Commit to act according to the key management principles and the safety-first culture as defined in the Safety-first policyEnsure all procedures and processes are followed.Ensure all the SAP duties of your shift are done, like RMs transfer, TOs confirmation and material consumption and GR'ing, and assist when needed.
