YOUR ROLE

The Production Team Lead is responsible for executing production in the safest and most efficient manner possible for the manufacturing of products in a quality standard that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations reporting to the Supervisor.
Provides departmental direction and runs the shift in the absence of the supervisor and optimizes the use of equipment, the process, and resources.
Leads and trains the team under the guidance of the supervisor and ensures safe working conditions for the team.
Assumes production supervisor's responsibilities when needed.

YOUR SKILLS

Planning, leading, organizing, and control skills; stock control / MRP processes.
Assertiveness and decision-making skills.
Conflict resolution skills.
Team player with leadership abilities.
Monitor and optimize process parameters.
Optimize the use of equipment.
Practice EHS requirements and ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
Identify, control, and enforce correct PPE requirements and usage.
Perform troubleshooting in the plant.
Maintain a professional, team-player attitude.
Human Resource Management and leadership skills.
Tactical and analytical problem-solving skills.
Production planning and scheduling abilities.
Drive production key performance indicators such as OEE, SA & CCDB.
Education and Qualifications: National Diploma (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial & Chemistry) FET Level N4.
