This includes the use of existing, as well as the implementation of new systems to facilitate accurate scheduling and delivery timelines. Manage production staff from task assignment to time allocation as well as staff attendance and performance.Duties/ Functions/ ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all production related activitiesOpen & close the production facility on a daily basis.Manage production workforce including fitters, pre-production staff, component manufacture staff and appointed sub-contractorsStaff Training and DevelopmentIntroduce visual assisted management in the production workplaceEmpower and motivate the production team to excellenceAssist HR in the management of production staff absenteeism, including the implementation of contingency measures to minimize the impact on productionAssist Paymaster with validation of staff attendance, including overtime, where requiredCreate and implement Production Schedules in accordance with sales commitments and production targetsAssist Compliance Officer with updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for existing and newly introduced production activitiesImplement time & activity-based worksheets for regular occurring production activities.
