Fruitways is an agri-business that specialises in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.PRODUCTION SUPERVISORFruitways Farming has an ideal opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to take responsibility of a fruit production unit in the Vyeboom area in the Western Cape.Reporting to a Production Manager at Graymead, you will be responsible for optimising the efficient and effective management of farming operations.Responsibilities:Managing two teams of 16 employees that continuously achieve production and quality targets.Be able and willing to handle basic disciplinary actions when needed.Engage with employees regarding industrial relations matters such as grievances, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.Identify training needs for the team.Ensure that Health and Safety measures are implemented.Able to drive continuous improvement and help the team come up with innovative ways to solve problems.Qualifications and Skills:Grade 12.Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.Driver's licence.Candidate should ideally be able to communicate in Xhosa, English, and Afrikaans.Apple and/or Pear farming experience is not a necessity but will be beneficial.Please note that the position will be filled in alignment with the Group's Employment Equity objectives.By submitting your application, you are giving The Fruitways Group implicit consent to the storage and processing of your personal information.
