Job Description As a Planner Merchandiser in the home textile factory, you will play a vital role in co-ordinating and managing the production planning and merchandising activities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to customers. You will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to optimise production processes and meet customer demands effectively.
Qualifications Requirements: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Previous experience in production planning, merchandising, or supply change management in the textile or manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Office necessary and Sync experience beneficial Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive results.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities: Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimising resources and minimising lead times.
Merchandising: Co-ordinate with the sales and design teams to understand customer needs and preferences and translate them into product specifications and production plans.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and co-ordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels to fulfill orders on time.
Supplier co-ordination: Liaise with suppliers to procure raw materials and components necessary for production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to maintain product quality standards throughout the production process.
Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses without compromising quality.
Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on production schedules, order status and any potential issues or delays.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, supplier agreements, and other relevant documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
