Job Description:
As a Planner Merchandiser in the home textile factory, you will play a vital role in co-ordinating and managing the production planning and merchandising activities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to customers. You will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to optimise production processes and meet customer demands effectively.
Requirements:
· Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
· Previous experience in production planning, merchandising, or supply change management in the textile or manufacturing industry.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Proficiency in MS Office necessary and Sync experience beneficial
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and quality standards.
· Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive results.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
· Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimising resources and minimising lead times.
· Merchandising: Co-ordinate with the sales and design teams to understand customer needs and preferences and translate them into product specifications and production plans.
· Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and co-ordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels to fulfill orders on time.
· Supplier co-ordination: Liaise with suppliers to procure raw materials and components necessary for production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
· Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to maintain product quality standards throughout the production process.
· Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses without compromising quality.
· Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on production schedules, order status and any potential issues or delays.
· Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, supplier agreements, and other relevant documentation.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
