You'll lead a team of 30 skilled professionals across a 3-shift system, focusing on optimizing the production of extruded film through six advanced machines. Your leadership will be key to maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety in our 24/7 manufacturing operation.Key Responsibilities:Inspire and lead: Cultivate a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing your team, ensuring everyone is aligned with our goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Operational oversight: Manage the daily operations of our extruded film production line, ensuring peak performance of our six machines with minimal downtime.Drive efficiency: Champion productivity and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment, ensuring our operations run seamlessly 7 days a week.Strategic collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager to devise and implement strategies that enhance our production capabilities and align with our business objectives.Safety and compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.Requirements:A Matric qualification, enhanced with additional technical or leadership studies.10+ years of experience in production management within the plastics or polymers sector, with a proven track record in high-volume manufacturing.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in motivating and developing teams to achieve exceptional results.Expertise in OEE and a continuous improvement mindset focused on cost-saving and optimization initiatives.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges in a dynamic production environment.This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven Production Manager to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative organization in the packaging industry.
