Production Manager

Our client, in FMCG chemical manufacturing is looking for an experienced and skilled Production Manager to join their dynamic team in Benoni to manage and lead a competent team, oversee the manufacturing processes, ensure efficiencies, safety, and quality standards throughout its operations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and give input to operating plans.Manage, lead and supervise production staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.Communicate production goals, priorities, and performance metrics effectively to ensure alignment and accountability.Ensure production targets are met through effective planning and scheduling and allocation of resources.Maintain accurate production records, including production logs, inventory records, and quality documentation.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.Adhere to quality and safety standards through implementation of quality control procedures, adherence to product specifications, etc.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address concerns.Monitor and proactively manage operational efficiencies by streamlining processes, integrate workflow.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and other production problems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.Minimum RequirementsBachelors/Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, relevant qualifications.5 years' experience as a Production Manager in a chemical manufacturing environment.4 years' People Management experienceExperience in the implementation of safety standards and systems.Experience in handling of hazardous chemicals.Computer skills (Technology systems and processes)Compliance (legislation/regulations) Behavioural CompetenciesResults driven.Leading and managing.Planning & organizing.Analytical Skills.Able to deal with complexity.
