Job description
RAW MATERIALS:
Pack raw materials required per Bay the day prior using the picking list.
Issue stock to each bay, every day at 7:35am.
Inform management of wastage of material and/or consumables.
Keep a record of abnormal stock usage and discuss with management.
Advise management of any stock shortages before it stops production.
Count stock every Thursday and supply information to management in a specified format before 13pm.
Count all stock on the last working day of the month and supply information to management in a specified format before 13pm, ensuring an accurate count.
DEADLINES AND QUALITY:
Ensure deadlines are met per bay per walk around at 10:20, 13:30 and 16:00.
Ensure quality is met per bay per walk around at 7:45, 10:20, 13h00.
Ensure all quality issues are resolved before the following walk around.
Ensure all deadlines are resolved before the following walk around.
HOUSE KEEPING:
Keep the stock rooms housekeeping up to date daily.
Keep the factory housekeeping up to date daily.
Enforce a 16:00 clean up inside the complete factory as well as outside the factory.
H & S COMPLIANCE
Daily:
DSTI (Daily Safe Task Instruction) – to be communicated to all staff daily.
Housekeeping – ensure factory is clean and neat.
Discipline employees and issue disciplinary procedures if work is not of the correct quality standards or if employees ignore instructions.
Weekly:
Toolbox talks
SWI (Safe Working Instructions)
Hand Tool Inspections
Compressor Inspection
Ladder Inspection
Portable electrical equipment
Monthly:
Fire extinguishers inspection
Hazardous Chemical Inspection
First Aid Box inspection
Safety Rep inspection
Every 6 months (or new employees):
Safety Induction
EMPLOYEES:
Complete employee performance review monthly.
Complete Daily attendance register.
Identify training needs and perform training where needed.
Identify complex training needs and inform management.
Inform management of any under-utilised labour and ensure their time is efficiently utilised elsewhere.
Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
Inform management of any employee issues and if any discipline procedures are necessary.
Conduct and/or assist with disciplinary procedures of any production employees.
GOODS RECEIVED:
Ensure goods received quality is acceptable to accept prior to acceptance from suppliers.
Ensure once goods are received the buyer is notified immediately.
Ensure goods received are packed into the storage places as soon as possible.
GOODS DELIVERED:
Ensure the goods ready for delivery have been inspected and pass all inspections tests.
Ensure all goods ready for delivery are placed ready for collection.
