Production Coordinator – Ottery, Cape Town.
Do you enjoy working in a manufacturing environment servicing the hospitality and tourism industry? This all-rounder role will afford you a diverse work experience where you will be involved with maintaining stock levels, purchasing raw materials and dealing with clients' orders.
This small team produces high-quality products and your minimum two years experience, and good financial acumen, communication and negotiation skills will contribute to the company's growth.
Requirements:
Matric, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing and production management role
Understanding of procurement and production processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and high-quality materials
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production needs
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to forecast demand and plan production accordingly
Oversee the entire supply chain process from purchasing to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules
Conduct regular supplier evaluations and take corrective actions when necessary
Manage production costs and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
Lead and train the production teams to ensure efficient and effective operations
Monitor and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations and standards
Inputting data into our Inventory Management system and ensuring correct processing of inventory
Working in office, and will be required to get involved in the factory from time to time
