The Role Responsible for working closely with the Southern Africa sales & service teams to promote Crushing and Screening products and champion the driving of the Crushing & Screening Solutions equipment and aftermarket parts and support sales whilst providing support and technical assistance & services to our customers for our Crushing & Screening installed base across Southern Africa including product support for Sandvik Rock Processing's digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities Customer training and efficient technical services support pertaining to all Sandvik Crushing & Screening products supplied to customers within Southern Africa.Work closely with the Customers' Installation and Erection Teams on activities during installation and commissioning of any Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment when required.Guide and assist Customers' Maintenance Teams with fault diagnosis work on Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment.Work with Customers' Maintenance Teams perform repair and fault finding using hydraulic, electric and instrumentation schematics.Cooperate closely with the sales team or directly with the customer to promote Crushing & Screening Solutions equipment and aftermarket sales.Provide relevant feedback through equipment condition, performance and process audits, to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of efficiency and equipment integrity.Identifies current and future/potential customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with them and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Works towards achieving set KPI's, for both the Customers and Sandvik.Ensure all work assigned to the team, related to Crushing & Screening Solutions, is carried out in accordance to set budgets and timeframes.Providing relevant information to Crushing & Screening Solutions installed base in Southern Africa to the Region Africa Lifecycle team and to ensure accurate installed base information is maintained in the database.Accept and perform tasks delegated by SRP Management as deemed necessary.Ensure all Sandvik policies and procedures especially the health, safety and environmental policies are adhered to by the team.Drive and implement "Connected" equipment programs & Remote Monitoring Systems with Key Customers in Southern Africa & Africa.Stay up to date with new and upgrades of Crushing & Screening equipment.Profile Required Electrical Engineer or Electrical trade good trade relevant background with relevant equipment technical experience, accompanied by a Portfolio of Evidence or Proof of apprenticeship or Transcript.Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry with Crushing & Screening experience.Need to be competent in electronics and instrumentation.Acquired knowledge in Crushing and Screening operations in both surface and underground.Proven understanding of crushing & screening plants & process flow.In-depth knowledge & minimum 5 years' experience working with Sandvik crushing & screening equipment.In-depth & proven knowledge of SRPs ASRi/ACS systems and able to troubleshoot and understand/interpret data.Strong business sense and EHS focus.Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and people management skills are essential.Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other MS office applications.How to apply Please apply online through Workday (ESS) or access the Sandvik website www.home.sandvik/en/careers.
