Description
A rare opportunity for a Product Owner exists in our Business Solutions team at our Central Office.
You will be the Product Owner of Pep's commercial off the shelf planning solutions responsible for the product's roadmap and vision, owning the product backlog and managing all relevant stakeholders during product enhancements and/or development.
The role requires close collaboration with the business owner, other solution teams as well as the Pepkor IT technical teams to ensure seamless data integration between your products and the surrounding systems. As owner of your product's backlog the incumbent will need strong communication and influencing skills to manage and prioritise requirements and align them with the global product backlog and projects portfolio.
As a member of the senior management team in business solutions you will be expected to own and drive the strategic roadmap of the product and also give input into the wider solutions landscape's strategic roadmap.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the product backlog
Collaborate with stakeholders on feature prioritisation and trade-offs
Set and maintain the product roadmap
Ensure the product team understand the business requirements
Propose new solutions and/or enhancements to existing systems, applications or data structures.
Create and oversee business and functional systems specifications in support of business processes
Management of the testing and Implementation of all systems changes
Manage and participate in user training
Manage user support.
Project management and consulting
Leadership and coaching
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
3 year tertiary qualification which includes analytical & commercial subjects
Minimum of 5 year retail experience, preferably in planning and/or buying or supply chain
Minimum 5 year systems analyst experience
Knowledge and understanding of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
Above average computer literacy - MS Office & MS Project & Google tools
Project management skills
Presentation and facilitation skills
Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
Understanding of Merchandise Planning processes
Understanding of Supply Chain processes
Analytical ability
Strong mathematical ability
Proficiency with SQL will be advantages
Knowledge and experience with Blue Yonder applications will be advantages
