The Product Manager required for Point-of-Sale Services will be responsible for managing the product roadmap, providing maintenance and support of the applications related to the POS Solutions. The role is focused on ensuring the sustainability and overall integrity of stand-alone and integrated production systems through effective technical product management (incorporating systems architecture and design principles, testing, problem solving, root cause diagnosis and remediation) whilst ensuring a seamless end-to-end omnichannel customer experience.Reporting to the In-Store Portfolio Manager, the position will best suit a candidate with good judgment, agility and responsiveness to emergent challenges.ResponsibilitiesPOS Services Roadmap ManagementEvaluates different technology options, APIs and capabilities, in establishing integration plansManages system integrity and performance and ensures that integration points in production systems are assessed for all planned changesLeads product design and architecture of POS SystemsProvides Product Support and engages with the support teams to monitor POS Services performance and error trendsMonitors store operations adoption and ensures efficient resolution or escalationProduct testing - works with service providers to ensure comprehensive test plansManages stakeholder communication and engagement - identifies all key stakeholders, and establishes appropriate communication forumsRequirementsBachelor's degree in business/commerce; IS or related technology disciplineAppropriate IT Specialisation an advantageAdditional Business Administration certification is an advantageAt least 5 years' experience in product management with demonstrated understanding of POS, digital platforms and technologyExperience with Point of Sale (POS) Systems, security and governanceExperience in supporting a retail production environment - complete stack from hardware to softwareExperience working with and coordinating multi-business stakeholders and business owners in a retail environmentPOS Integration experience (ERP, Switching, Payments, etc)Good technical understanding of Operating Systems - particularly Windows and LinuxExcellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle managementGood Business Analysis Skills and customer orientationInnovative, excellent analytical and proven problem-solving capabilitiesProven ability to influence and collaborate with key decision makers and stakeholders, both internally and externallyExcellent Project Team coordination skillsDesired SkillsPoint of saleRetailERPSwitchingOperating SystemsSDLCProduct ManagementRoadmap managementLinuxDigital platformsDesired Qualification LevelDegreeEmployer & Job BenefitsMedical AidProvident Fund
