Role Description We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager from the fashion/fashion accessories industry to oversee and manage product development and production processes for an e-commerce fashion accessory brand located in the United States.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, tracking production status, and maintaining accurate records.
This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the development and success of the client's product offerings.
Responsibilities: Manage relationships with suppliers.
Oversee the product development and production calendar through daily communication with suppliers to track work status.
Maintain all records, including work in progress (WIP), liability tracker, payment tracker, purchase orders (POs), and product master lists.
Collaborate with suppliers to maximize material efficiencies across styles while minimizing liabilities and surcharges.
Create linesheets and product databases for B2B partners.
Track and analyze key performance indicators, including managing suppliers for on-time production and maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with a team located in the United States and be flexible with working hours to accommodate different time zones Requirements Experience Required: Expertise in managing product development from concept to launch.
Experience in the consumer fashion/fashion accessories industry is required.
Experience with product lifecycle management and market research.
Strong skills in planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams (supply chain, design, marketing, copywriting).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions, including overseas suppliers.
Understanding of product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to generate creative solutions and drive innovation.
Skills in developing and implementing product strategies aligned with business goals.
Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers for on-time production and effectively communicate potential delays.
Proven experience in maintaining accurate records and managing various product development documents.
Comfortable collaborating with a team located in the United States and flexing work hours to accommodate different time zones.
