Apo: Environmental Education Officer- Cape Town

APO: Environmental Education Officer- Cape Town Training & Education Cape Town - Western Cape APO: Environmental Education Officer - Cape Town The TES employee(s) will be responsible for the following function / work 1.
Coordination and hosting of Smart Living, Environmental Education and Coastal programmes and guided tours 2.
Development and dissemination of resource materials 3.
Researching and developing new educational programmes and support materials 4.
Scheduling school group bookings and the booking of venues, e.g.
the Smart Living Education Centre and EEG Centre 5.
Monitoring and valuating effectiveness of education programmes 6.
Setting up and presenting at events and expos 7.
Stakeholder liaison and communication 8.
Writing reports based on monthly stats and schedules 9.
Assist with daily operations as and when required The TES employee(s) must meet the following requirements: Qualification: Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification preferably a B-Degree or National Diploma; and Computer Literacy: MS Office Experience: 1 - 3 years relevant experience in: Coordinating and hosting education programmes Resource development Tour guiding Engaging directly with members of the public, visitors and stakeholders Managing different aspects of exhibition development and curating Other skills /requirements (Specify) Good computer skills and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and Microsoft Office suite Good administration skills Excellent record management skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Attention to detail and accuracy is essential Enthusiastic and passionate about the environment/sustainability Ability to work with different target groups Ability to do data capturing and processing A Drivers licence will be advantages for this post First Aid level 1 advantageous Willingness to work after hours or on weekends Drivers licence preferred Please Note: Should you not receive feedback within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
