Procurement Manager (POS24153)Location: FourwaysSalary: R 40 000 to R 45 000 per monthPurpose of the Job:Oversee the group's raw materials procurement to ensure the stable acquisition of raw materials of acceptable quality at competitive pricing in a strategic context.Minimum Qualifications:Degree or National Diploma in Supply/Chain Management or BSC Engineering8 years' relevant experience, preferably 2 years' managerial experienceExperience in mining, construction or manufacturing will be preferredDemonstrate understanding of Supply Chain managementDemonstrate understanding of Raw material requirementsAbility to handle conflict and negotiationDuties And Responsibilities:Managing the forecasting processCommunicate approved forecasts with suppliersManage the teamWeekly reports to inform operational decisions and drive procurement improvementCreating reports with focus areas for business improvementAnalysing data to answer strategic and operational questions posed by the business on procurement related issuesData validation and integrity testingData cleansing and data modellingSupport existing customers via email, chat and/or phone callsMonitor support channels and provide first line supportEscalate support when necessaryHelp identify and define improvements to processes and tools to better support customersDevelop effective forecast models based on trends and demand patternsCalculate stock volume requirements according to minimum order quantities, stock-on-hand, promotional requirements, price increases etc.Propose and implement solutions and inventory estimations to ManagementPlace and follow up on stock ordered with suppliersSuccessfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to ManagementLiaise with receiving regarding slot times, discrepancies, stock not ordered, short-supplied stock, bookings etc.Identify and report overstocks together with support to sales team in regard to exit strategyIdentify and report short-dated and expired stockAssist with queries regarding PO's & GRV (receiving department)Fill in for team members on leaveSolve Ad hoc inventory issues/queriesClosing Date: 15 June 2024To apply for this position please send CVs to (email address) and use POS24153 in the subject line.
