The Procurement Clerk is responsible for primarily fleet, but also secondarily other departments, and to provide accurate planning and executing of the purchasing activities necessary to ensure the timely delivery of stock/parts orders at a competitive rate. This clerk will further be responsible for handling administrative duties for the fleet department in conjunction with his or her fleet-specific roles.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in drafting and finalisation of RFQs, RFPs with both internal and external stakeholders
Assist in tender documentation management process, including tender evaluation and suppliers' liaison
Assist in selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing
Drafting of an appropriate service level agreement in order to properly evaluate the performance of suppliers, and to report on this on a regular basis.
Work with internal stakeholder (teachers or operations) to determine and finalise procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
Timeously placing of order, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.
Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate Service Level Agreement (SLA), on a continuous basis.
Monitoring expenses against approved budgets
Data analysis and identification of cost saving measures
Develop sourcing strategies.
Cost saving, budgeting and targeting.
Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management.
Review and update inventory
Minimum Requirements:
Matric with Accounting and/or Mathematics
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related qualifications
Advanced Excel (certificate or proof will be an advantage)
Procurement experience 5 years or more
Procurement Software and Accounting Software experience is essential
