Job Details: Principle Expert Services ConsultantAs a senior leader within the regional Centre of Excellence team, the Principal Consultant is a driving force behind the delivery of Sage Intacct and Sage X3 Business Management Solutions. You'll be at the helm of ensuring that our services are executed with excellence, supporting complex presales, implementations, and support escalations with unmatched expertise.Architect of Solutions and Innovation: Step into the role of both solution and technical architect, defining and crafting world-class solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. With a global footprint, you'll ensure that regional teams uphold the highest design and quality standards, setting the bar for excellence in every implementation.Collaborative Project Mastery: Partner with a diverse team of Project Managers, IT specialists, Product Managers, Developers, Sales Engineers, and customer project teams to deliver solutions that are on point, on budget, and on time. Your leadership will be key in harmonizing efforts and driving successful outcomes.End-to-End Project Leadership: From design and configuration to testing, delivery, and documentation, you'll own the entire project lifecycle. You'll be the go-to expert ensuring that solutions are flawlessly transitioned to support teams and that every technical and functional review meets rigorous standards.Workshops, Design Sessions, and Knowledge Transfer: Lead engaging workshops and design sessions, playing an active role in all project meetings. Your ability to facilitate knowledge transfer will ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are well-prepared and aligned for success.Content Creation and Partner Enablement: Develop powerful functional and technical content that empowers our certified partners, especially on mid-market products. Your work will elevate the skills and capabilities of partners, customers, and internal teams alike.Mentorship and Training Leadership: Be the mentor who shapes the future of consulting within our team. You'll guide and train other consultants, as well as deliver impactful training sessions to partners and customers, sharing your deep expertise and insights.Strategic Pre-Sales Involvement: Play a crucial role in the pre-sales process, crafting feasibility assessments and estimates that align with customer needs. You'll proactively position value-added services, enhancing our offerings and driving new opportunities during Business Partner-led implementations.Driving Profitability: As a billable resource, your work will directly contribute to the profitability of the Centre of Excellence. You'll be responsible for delivering tasks and managing invoicing, ensuring that every project not only meets expectations but also boosts the bottom line.In this role, you'll be the architect of transformative solutions, the mentor to future experts, and a key player in driving the success of our projects and profitability. Your leadership will leave a lasting impact on both our team and our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect of Success: Stand as the expert architect, partnering with clients and Business Partners to drive successful implementations.Mentor and Guide: Serve as a mentor to Business Partners, offering guidance from the design phase through to delivery.Lead by Example: Occasionally join technical and functional requirement-gathering meetings, offering your insights to steer the project in the right direction.Innovative Problem Solver: Analyze technical feasibility, propose innovative solutions, and design complex software solutions that meet customer requirements.Deliver Excellence: Lead design and functional reviews, ensuring that all work is of the highest quality, delivered on time, and within budget.Upskill and Empower: Design and deliver advanced enablement programs to upskill Business Partners.Strategic Billing and Utilization: Take ownership of monthly billing aligned with the Accounting stream and overall Centre of Excellence division budget.Risk Management and Best Practices: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to project delivery.Continuous Learning and Alignment: Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing self-learning and up-to-date certifications in relevant Accounting/ERP products.Must-Have Skills and Experience:ERP Implementation Expertise: With 5-7 years of ERP implementation experience.Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of 4GL functions and capabilities.Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Customer-Centric Mindset: Focus on partner and end-customer satisfaction.Project Leadership: Adept at leading key project activities.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to resolve complex support queries.Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles for managing billing.Self-Motivated and Team-Oriented: Enthusiastic and capable of managing workload across multiple projects.Qualifications:Degree Level Qualification and/or EquivalentCertification in Sage Intacct and Sage X3 (Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance)Preferred Experience:ERP Systems such as Microsoft, SAP, or OracleFunction: Partners Alliances and Expert ServicesCountry: South AfricaOffice Location: JohannesburgWork Place type: HybridAdvert: Working at Sage means you're supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
