In this role you will be responsible for: Leading and developing a team of local factory production, filling and packing operations in line with the business strategy to ensure on-time supply of finished or bulk product that fulfills quality standards.Ensuring all operations are safe for employees.A day in the life of a Production Manager: Safety Implementation of the HIRA system in the areaEnsures all operators and supervisors are fully trained for the operationEnsure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety ActEnsure compliance with Environmental standards for the production areasEnsure Safety culture is implemented through BBSHEQ programsQuality Ensures full implementation of the food safety pre-requisite programs in manufacturingEnsuring compliance to Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Monitoring SchemesEnsure full compliance of ISO 9001 and 22000 and any other local standards relevant for the areaSupports implementation of maintenance foundationsUnderstands the Planned Maintenance Pillar TPM steps, supporting all work groups including Maintenance work groupEnsures full compliance to Asset management with the support of the factory engineerProduction Ensures execution of weekly plans through labour and resource availabilityEnsures maintenance time is allocated as per schedule for all resourcesImplementation of manufacturing standards in the workplace in line with Nestle Manufacturing InstructionsImplementation of all measures required to monitor plant performance linked to Cost, Delivery, Plant Efficiency and PerformanceImplementation of Nestle Continuous Improvement practices (such as advance tools Total Performance Management, TPM)Ensures labour resource availability to eliminate business disruptionsAbility to deploy factory losses using tools such as Loss TreeImplementation of Why-Why Methodology at shop floorKAISEN/DMAIC methodology recommended for the individualBusiness Overview Provides insight on the product through TCU and CTAG supportEnsures business objectives are cascaded and relevant measures established on the shop floorUnderstands and links customer needs to weekly and monthly plansPeople Develops and leads the local work groupsEnsures successful development of supervisorsEnsures full understanding of HR policies by the workforce in productionDrives accountability through understanding Employee relations acts and principlesManage Direct Reports including senior operators and supervisorsProvide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with NCE guidelines. Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training.What will make you successful?
