Beverage Production Manager

Candidate Requirements:

A Degree in Food Science, or Diploma in Food Technology
Should have at least five years relevant experience in food manufacturing (FMCG) or production management
HACCP knowledge will be advantageous.
Must have knowledge of fresh produce
Previous bottling or fruit packaging experience will be advantageous
Must have excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
Should have excellent people- and process-management skills
Must have strong analytical and technical skills
Should have the ability to delegate tasks
Must be self-motivated, innovative and be able to work under pressure

Responsibilities:
Plan and organise production schedules and forecasts
Assist with purchasing planning of raw fruit and vegetables
Manage production teams
Monitor production quality and output
Assist the Operation Manager with optimisation projects to improve and streamline processes
Oversee management of raw materials
Maintain and ensure food safety standards
Ensure that the company culture is upheld daily
Manage and improve retention and absenteeism of production staff
Organise relevant training sessions
Support the new product development (NPD) process by supporting and conducting trials and identifying optimal production methods
Work closely with and support the maintenance and technical teams
