Aon South Africa is recruiting a Portfolio Manager: Growth Marketing in our Marketing department based, on a hybrid basis, from our Head Office in Sandton. The successful incumbent will be responsible for effective Marketing program management and the generation of marketing qualified leads across allocated growth priorities.
What the day will look likeResponsible for the overall marketing prioritisation process and criteria in making decisions and/or recommendations to growth priorities and business.
Develops growth priority plans and campaigns to support and growth targets.
Responsible for management and development of all tactics for growth campaigns.
Prepares detailed communication briefs and provides solutions to meet specific communication and business objectives.
Using global content and developing local content.
Measure return on marketing investment.
Responsible for the development of thought leadership and related content aligned to growth priorities.
Demonstrating the use of marketing insights and analytics to drive campaign development and execution, while keeping business objectives in mind.
Driving client leadership through the identification of cross sell and upsell opportunities aligned to growth priorities.
Translates research results into appropriate marketing actions and advises the business on the best approach to marketing.
Tracks project activities with close monitoring of touch-points and submits regular updates of marketing/events/activity reports.
Align with marketing minimum operating standards.
Obtaining marketing, legal and compliance approval for all marketing campaigns and tactics.
Adheres to allocated campaign budgets and ensures campaigns are delivered on time.
Provides ongoing support to the business units for all marketing requirements.
Monitors competitor environment as well as market activities/ trends and translates this into appropriate action.
Attends status meetings with internal and external collaborators.
Responsible for sponsorship planning, activation and implementation aligned to growth priorities.
Provides marketing support to CSI initiatives as and when required.
Understands and follows the Aon Values and takes ownership of personal development.
Skills and experience that will lead to successQualifications: Be in possession of Grade 12 (matric).Preferably have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing.Project Management Certificate will be an advantage.Knowledge: Preferably have knowledge of short-term insurance and risk management products.Have extensive experience in effective strategic product marketing.Strong ability to work with budgets, forecasts and project plan creations.Be computer literate with advanced experience in MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel.Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and presentation skills.Good interpersonal and organisational skills.Critical thinking and planning/ local market planning.Strong external and internal collaborator management.Strong Project management skills.Be diligent and respect confidentiality.Have a high work ethic and must have the ability to function optimally.Be a great teammate, have the ability to build good relationships, support and actively participate in, and contribute to any team initiatives.Experience: Proven experience in a similar or related role.
