JOB DESCRIPTIONValidation and processing of policies.Processing of policy amendments swiftly and accurately on the system.Handling policy documentation.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEGrade 123 – 4 years Crop Insurance experienceDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTo ensure that policies are debited accurately, timeously and are being verified.Responsible for executing policy amendments on the debited policies via Inspection reports and/or MPCI reports.Distribution of amended policy documents to the Area Managers and the Brokers.Provide training and support to Area Managers and Brokers.Finalise incomplete policies and attend to underwriting issues.Daily interaction with Area Managers, Intermediaries, and other departments in the SBU.Action on the error reports for correction on policies and to ensure that there is no duplication of insurance.Handling and follow-up of enquiries – telephonic, electronic and in writing.Handling of Inspection reports and MPCI reports.Logging of incidents for system errors.Compiling and updating of manuals on policy system.Collection of signed policy documents from intermediaries.Handling and registration of cessions.Handling of all policy system administrative duties.SKILLSGuidewire Crop System to issue policies.Portal – MPCI reports.Broker Portal – to assist brokers with their queries.Crop Product knowledge.Numeric skills.Knowledge of policy conditions.Knowledge of Crop Insurance and Procedures.Good communication skills - Verbal and Written.COMPETENCIESIntegrity.Trustworthiness.Client Service – Focus on the client, professional service delivery.Ability to work under pressure.Ability to solve problems.Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans.Planning and organising.Effectiveness and Determination.Client service orientation.Decision making.Collecting and analysing information.Identifying opportunities for process improvements.Teamwork is very important to achieve excellent results.Training between departments to gain better knowledge and understanding of duties and business.
