MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A tertiary qualification in Production Supervision / Construction Management is an advantage EXPERIENCE Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel). A high level of Excel proficiency is preferred. Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment. SKILLS Sound verbal, written, and telephonic communication skills in English. Sound computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and CE). Energetic and flexible disposition, the ability to manage staff at all levels, as well as a high level of integrity. Sound organizational ability and deadline-oriented. Ability and willingness to work irregular and extended hours. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Knowledge of Industrial Relations. OTHER Applicants must have their own/reliable transport and may be required to work extended/irregular hours.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS Ensuring that all staff, visitors, and/or subcontractors operating in the plant area do so in a safe manner and that reflective jackets and other appropriate protective wear are worn. Ensuring that the plant area is always kept clean. Ensuring that batching is done per the Quality Assurance procedure. Distribution of trucks to ensure on-time deliveries to customers. Ensuring that Drivers are aware of the directions to customer sites. Ensuring that daily and future orders are downloaded to the plant timeously. Ensuring that stock takes are done daily, reporting on any major variances. Ordering raw materials required to effectively maintain operations, including diesel. Receiving raw materials and ensuring that the quality and quantity of materials are correct. Ensuring that diesel is recorded daily for each truck and that daily stock takes are done. Ensuring that month-end procedures are followed during stock-take. Ensuring that a weekly drum inspection is carried out. Reporting and recording of faults to mobile and fixed plants. Ensuring that weekly truck inspection reports are forwarded to the Maintenance Department. Recording of staff working hours and reporting thereof. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Thursday 29 February 2024
