Plant Safety & Environmental Specialist (Gcc Required)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Routine site engagements with Plant Safety and Environment Managers and Plant Managers.
Assist in setting safety and environment targets for all sites and zone safety and environment teams.
Scope projects required to improve the Safety and/or Environment Pillar maturity including:

Capex and Zero based budgeting requirements
Projects required to manage safety and environmental risks on site and improve performance on site

Conduct selected investigations into safety and environment incidents across the Zone and drive closure of investigations, gaps and legal compliance across the Zone.
Coaching of regional resources on all Safety and environment standards (SOPs) including:

Incident reporting and management
Supporting the plants to identify root causes for any incidents
Developing effective preventative and corrective actions

Conduct site safety and environment audits.
REQUIREMENTS
BSc or BTech in a related field
Minimum 5 years work experience related to Safety Management and / or Engineering Management in FMCG manufacturing plant.
Government safety/legal accredited qualification (SA GCC Factories).
Professional Engineering accreditation (advantageous).
Experience in African countries outside SA.
