Plant Manager PositionOur client in the building/manufacturing industry has a position available for a Plant Manager.Salary: Highly NegotiableQualifications & Experience:Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Production/Engineering10+ Years' experience in Production ManagementStamping Plant experience – up to 400 ton pressesSound industrial relations experienceQuality Management and Continuous improvement experienceDuties:Manage, plant and direct Stamping and Steel Production, Warehouse, Maintenance Toolroom of the plantDrive project objectives for each department.Coordinate and drive automation improvements and maintenance activities including capital and non-capital projectsPrepare and execute Capex requestsImplement basic PLC and sensor systemsMonitor objective achievement by performing regular reviews.Conduct advance quality planning exercises by analysing customer business requirementsEnsure company business processes meet supplier specifications and customer demandsReport on budget utilisation – Monthly in month end reportTake responsibility for manufacturing activities, ensuring that customer requirements & quality standards are met timeously & cost-effectively.Ensure health, safety, security and plant maintenance regulations are adhered toDevelop & maintain quality procedures & guidelines.Carry out regular performance appraisals.Manage industrial relations.Set and ensure that operational targets are metEnsure the supply of material & human resources.Manage production of press componentsTrack efficiency and implement improvementsManage staff and align organizational structureReport to Executives and directors on all aspects of the plant's performance and KPI'sReport on yield and costs periodicallyPlan and recruit structure and staff - Develop process flows for productionVALID DRIVER'S LICENCE WITH OWN TRANSPORTONLY APPLICANTS THAT MEET THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDEREDSALARY OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL DEPEND ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEApplicants who have not been contacted within 14 days should consider their applications as having been unsuccessful
