Job DescriptionMinimum Requirements:Degree in Engineering, with a specialisation in Mechanics and AutomationAt least 7 years of maintenance/ engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAt least 3 years of experience in managerial positionsWorking knowledge of quality systems and Health, Safety and Environment skillsComputer knowledge and skillsInnovation and change management skillsStrong people management skills, interpersonal and communicationResponsibilities:Direct the manufacturing engineers/process specialists, in defining technical specifications for new equipment and alterations to existing equipment and facilities including leading project launches and production transfersDirect and coordinate both repair and preventative maintenance requirements for all equipment in the plantSupport continuous improvement efforts: propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions for the facilitySupport the development of target material and information flow analysis (MIFA) and plant layoutDevelop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facility standardsDefine and monitor quality, cost and delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening: subcontracting, ordinary and major maintenance actions, energy, and security systemsDirect the management of spare parts and consumables warehouses for the plantRecommend safety policies and ensure safety/legal controls are tested and reliableBe responsible for the computer-aided maintenance management system for the plantEnsure the continuous development and coaching of the maintenance and manufacturing engineering teamDirect plant manufacturing engineering standard applications and strategic intent
